It is bittersweet to announce the retirement of Gunnery Sergeant D. D. "Gunny" Hanson. A respected Nease NJROTC Naval Science Instructor since October of 2004, Gunny has definitely made his mark on our unit, the numerous cadets he has taught and mentored, and the NJROTC community as a whole. 

We are working hard on a send-off and need your help! For over 20 years, Gunny has given his all to make our cadets and unit a top program in the nation. With that, comes many relationships, pictures, and stories. We want to collect these memories in honor and recognition of Gunny's dedication to our program. Please send any photos, video messages, or notes of encouragement to gunnygoodbyes@gmail.com by May 4 so we can include them in Gunny's retirement party.
