Meeting Minutes
January 16, 2025

Past Event Reports:
Sports Corner Spirit wear – all orders were mailed or distributed before the break
Thursday, December 19th -Spirit Night/Trivia at MShack – giving back 10% of sales
Sunday, December 29th-Titans vs Jaguars ticket fundraiser
Saturday, January 11th – Drill Meet Wakulla Went well, came in first in several areas and overall. Academics was done differently and it was obvious that the team that came in first had cheated and the area manager is aware. We do not anticipate academics will be done this way again.
Booster/CPO Announcements
· Thank you to all who volunteered or supported the various events, activities and fundraisers for the first half of the year. We could not have done it all without you.
· We are already discussing plans and positions for the next school year.
o Board member elections will be held in April.
· President, Vice President of CPO, Vice President Events, Treasurer and Secretary
· You must have a current membership to serve on the board and to vote for board members.

Upcoming Events:
Monday, January 20th – No School – Cadet Bravoz Event Have about 80 cadets who have expressed interest in going
· Cadets need to RSVP and pay to attend
· portion being paid by Flag Football winnings and Booster fundraising money
Wednesday, January 22nd – Nease Academy Night Have great interest in new incoming cadets which is good as we need 150 cadets to continue having 3 instructors
· Tell your friends and neighbors to attend and hear about NJROTC (or any of the other great Nease academy programs)
Monday, February 17th – Topgolf Event – Cadets and families 10am-12pm
· Coming soon- Tickets will be sold through website
· Includes 2 hours of golf and lunch (sandwich and chips)
Tuesday, March 11th – Sunday, March 16th – TPC Parking Community Service
· Cadets will signup through the unit to volunteer
· Possibly will need parent volunteer(s) to help – more to come on how many and when
Saturday, March 29th- Car Show at Nease; Car show vendor and sponsor payments are pending approval from district, working with food vendors for BBQ and possibly coffee; Instructors are working on putting together a Raider for all three units (Nease, Bartram, and STA)
· Need parent and cadet volunteers, vendors, Sponsors, Committees are being formed if you would like to help
Saturday, May 3rd-Navy Ball- World Golf Village Renaissance
· Tickets will go on sale on the website soon
· Ticket cost will be $50 for cadets, $60 for student guests (9th-12th grade) and $70 for family members – no one under 9th grade should attend.
· No alcohol in the ballroom
Saturday, May 10th – Gunny’s retirement party
· SAVE THE DATE – currently being planned
· Ideas or connections for venues? Churches? There will be a place online for current and past cadets to send in pics and videos
Fundraising Updates:
Sports Corner Spirit wear Cadet warmups are not in spirit wear so if you would like to order warmups, please contact Christina Cummings; the only jacket approved to wear with uniform is the relaxed fit jacket which has been offered to cadets several times – it does require a custody card that parents have to sign. These jackets are $200 in value and parents are responsible for it if cadet does not return the jacket to the unit
· Recent order is back
· Will be setting up one more store this school year -stayed tuned for dates
TPC Ticket Sales Fundraiser (until February 29th or while supplies last)
· Purchase TPC tickets using our promo code-we get $40 back per ticket sold
o Tickets purchased through Chip-in must be for competition round days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday); tickets for practice rounds (Tuesday and/or Wednesday) are not available through this program

Treasurer’s report
YE balance was $42,000 and some change due to fundraisers, etc. Upcoming expenses include Navy Ball deposits, etc.
Navy has new VR and flight simulator that they brought to the school. Warrant talked to them about bringing it back for next year’s Army Navy Flag Football game. Nease hosts the game next year. Warrant talk to CO of Navy Recruiting for Jax who is on board for helping us plan that event

Kim Gourd spoke to Panera about give back for a fundraiser event. Will speak with cadets after meeting to find a date for that one.
Christina Cummings will work with possible restaurants for give back after academy night.
