Meeting Minutes
December 19, 2024
ATTENDEES: Christina Cummings, Keri Collins, Audrey Jovel, Austen Escofrey Warrant Officer Donato, Megan Johns, Morgan Hathaway, Robin Walker, Tonia Peasley, Shawna Porter, Smith, Phillip Wiedower, Paul Tokarek, Sonya Wells, Carrie Pedriero, Kim Gourd, Herrera, Shantel Rose, Julie Kay, Gandikota, Mandie Davis, Danielle Fortuna, Barbara Hager
Past Event Reports:
· (Keri) November 23rd- Brain Brawl/Drone at Bishop Kenney Brain Brawl came in 1st, Drone came in 5th, both teams qualified for regionals
· (Warrant) December 6th - Annual Military Inspection did great, looked good,
· (Keri) December 7th – Drill Meet at Terry Parker High School came in 1st overall, lots of individual and team awards – went really well
· (Christina) December 14th –Regionals- Orienteering Meet-Tallahassee came in 2nd at regionals, did really well and qualified for nationals in March (13-17); MC is looking to take the entire Orienteering team even though only first team will compete
· (Molly) December 15th – CyberPatriot State Round
· (Keri/Carrie/Christina) December 13th- December 15th-St Augustine Night of Lights Parking Lot Fundraiser; went very well earning $12,000; next year we can charge more ($25), should provide hand out w info about unit and QR code for additional donations, Tonia Peasly will chair the event next year
· December 18th – Cookies and Cocoa treats for cadets
Booster/CPO Announcements
· Thank you to all who volunteered or supported the various events, activities and fundraisers for the first half of the year. We could not have done it all without you.
· Yearbooks – please look through any photos you have of various NJROTC events and send pictures to our yearbook email

Upcoming Events:
Monday, January 20th – No School
Saturday, March 29th- Car Show at Nease (Charlie)
o Need volunteers, vendors, Sponsors, Committee being formed if you would like to help; can sign up now to join planning committee by visiting the ‘volunteer’ tab on the CPO website, first meeting is schedule for January 10th; additional volunteer opportunities for the day of the event will be shared later
Saturday, May 3rd-Navy Ball- World Golf Village Renaissance
Instructor Announcements
New Staff list came out yesterday. New cadet faces in the meeting and Congratulations to Jovel and Escofrey
Top staff makes recommendations and instructors have final say. If you have a cadet who is upset, they can go talk to one of the instructors
TPC is coming up and is another huge money maker for the unit – requires a lot of cadet and parent volunteers. Last year we made $26,000; they are looking for responsible adults to help them as they lost two of their regular people
Cadet Announcements
Thursday, December 19th -Spirit Night/Trivia at MShack – giving back 10% of sales Trivia is at 7, NJROTC Give back is from 5-9
Monday, January 13th – POSSIBLE/NOT YET CONFIRMED- cadet Bravoz event Private event in the evening – still working out pricing, there may be a small fee for cadets and will need cadets to RSVP
Kim Gourd suggested Panera who provides 20% give back – she will look into it and get back to the group
Fundraising Updates:
· Sports Corner Spirit wear
o Recent order is back
o Will be distributed at CPO meeting or with cadets during class on Thursday and Friday
· TPC Ticket Sales Fundraiser
o purchase tickets with the link-we get $40 back per ticket sold

- Tickets purchased through Chip-in must be for competition round days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday); tickets for practice rounds (Tuesday and/or Wednesday) are not available through this program
- Brick fundraiser is open
· Titans vs. Jaguars at EverBank Stadium - Sunday, December 29th at 1:00pm
o We have group of 50 tickets together in section 415 & 416
o Tickets are now discounted to $49 each and we get $5 back per ticket sold
o Must purchase through this link and buy sooner and they will add more tickets-but not if they sell out

· Kendra Scott Fundraising
o Working to find a date-will have in store event and online code to use when purchasing
o A percentage will come back as a fundraiser

Close balance at end of November was around $37k
