Nease NJROTC Key Events

Every year Nease NJROTC holds several significant annual events. Below is an explanation of these events and some important information about them.

Promotion Ceremonies:

Held in the Fall and the Spring semesters, the promotion ceremonies celebrate the cadets who have passed rigorous testing and criteria and have been promoted in rank. The ceremonies occur during your cadet's Company time in the Nease stadium (weather permitting).

Annual Military Inspection (AMI): 

Leading up to AMI, the cadets prepare the unit for inspection by the Area Manager. During the inspection, all aspects of the unit are evaluated. On the final day of AMI, the entire Battalion marches in formation for the Area Manager, families, and other notable guests. Seeing the whole Battalion of over 150 cadets is a spectacular sight not to be missed!

Car Show: 

Each Spring the Nease NJROTC Car Show attracts car owners of exotic, classic, and amazing cars who display their rides and help us raise funds for the unit. The cadets and parents work hard to provide a fun, exciting day of cars, food, music, and fellowship. As one of our significant fundraisers, the Car Show is a great way for the community to come together for a great cause.

Awards Night: 

Typically held at the end of April, the Annual Awards Night celebrates the many achievements of the cadets, individually, as teams, and as a unit. Several academic grants and other awards are given by community groups to the cadets. It is an exciting time to applaud the many efforts of the cadets and all who support them throughout the year.

Navy Ball: 

The cadets eagerly await the annual tradition of the Navy Ball which usually occurs in early May. A celebration of the graduating senior cadets and an evening steeped in Navy tradition, this is an amazing event you do not want to miss. Most cadets attend without dates and many families attend. Come enjoy delicious food, fun music, and see the cadet commraderie in full swing.
