JANUARY 2025
Annual Military Inspection Pass-in-Review

On December 6, 2024, the entire Nease NJROTC battalion participated in our Annual Military Inspection (AMI) and Pass-in-Review. Each year, our Area Manager, Commander Shaw, visits to inspect our cadets, administration, facilities, and more. Passing this inspection is crucial for our selection as the area's Most Outstanding Unit, an honor Nease has earned 12 of the last 15 years!

Commander Shaw’s morning began with a meeting with top staff, followed by inspections of our facilities, supply room, and administrative areas. He then personally inspected each cadet, formed in their respective companies, in the Nease gymnasium. This inspection includes a review of cadet attire, appearance, and overall Navy knowledge.

After the personnel inspections, family and friends attended a demonstration at the Nease football stadium. During the Pass-in-Review, all 172 cadets were in one large formation. They performed armed and unarmed exhibition drills and were presented with personal awards from the morning’s inspection.

We were honored to have the Del Webb Nocatee Association of Veterans and Supporters in attendance, who presented a generous $1,500 scholarship to the unit.

The ceremony concluded with the battalion marching in military formation for review by Commander Shaw.

We are proud to report that our unit received straight outstandings on the inspection. A huge thank you to the cadets for their tireless preparation, and to the entire unit for excellent attendance. Special thanks to the parent volunteers who contributed time and talent to support our cadets and instructors. Thank you to the parents for attending and showing support, and to the Del Webb Nocatee Association for their generous scholarship. Finally, we extend our gratitude to Commander Shaw for his dedication to excellence and thorough review of our unit.
