A unit like ours is always moving, and volunteer opportunities are a big part of what we do! Whether you’re a cadet or a parent, there are plenty of ways to get involved. Here’s how it works ⬇️

Cadets

• All cadet volunteer opportunities are handled through the cadet website and the unit.

• Opportunities are open to all cadets and are available year-round.

• Volunteer hours count toward the Florida Bright Futures scholarship (when turned in to the school counselor) and can also earn cadets their Service Ribbon.

• Cadets must:

  • Fill out the Google Form online

  • Submit a permission slip 3 days prior to the event

• Cadets are responsible for their own transportation. Drop-off and pick-up must be ON TIME.

  • ⚠️ For Friday night home football games, cadets must be picked up no later than 9:45 PM. Please respect school administrators who stay until the last student leaves.

Parents

• Parent volunteer opportunities are available throughout the school year!

• Volunteering is a great way to get to know the cadets and support the unit.

• Opportunities include event volunteers and chaperones at cadet service events.

• Event volunteer opportunities are posted on the CPO website and parent Facebook page.

• To chaperone a cadet event, simply go to the cadet website, select the event, and sign up under the volunteer slot.

Our unit cannot run without parent support. We are fortunate to have such a strong community, and we know it will continue this year!

Get ready for some high-energy fun at our 2nd Annual Army vs. Navy NJROTC Flag Football Game! On September 19 at 4:00 PM, our Nease Navy JROTC cadets will take on St. Augustine Army JROTC in a battle for the $1,000 prize, trophy, championship belt, and bragging rights. Nease came out on top last year, and we’re ready to defend our title! The game is FREE to attend, so pack the stadium and cheer on our cadets. Plus, enjoy sweet treats from King of Pops and Nothing Bundt Cakes (with a portion of proceeds coming back to us). Nothing Bundt will stick around through the varsity football game, so the fun doesn’t stop after the flag football action. Don’t miss this chance to support our cadets and enjoy a night of school spirit! 

Membership is still open for the Cadet Parent Organization (CPO) for the new school year. The Nease NJROTC Booster Club's mission is to support cadets and instructors in activities and events and to promote the Navy JROTC values of Honor, Courage and Commitment within the Nease community. Additionally, the Booster Club shall assist in raising funds to be used for academic scholarships as well as providing meals, entry fees, equipment, supplies, travel expenses, etc. necessary for the support and improvement of the NJROTC program. All efforts and time are on a volunteer basis and all booster members are greatly appreciated by everyone involved in making this program a success. 

What is the commitment?

Booster Club meetings are held at 7:45AM on the third Thursday of the month.  

Booster meetings offer an opportunity for you to ask questions, plan and serve on a booster committee, and connect with like-minded NJROTC families.

The school year is in full swing, and it’s time for our first cadet social! Join us on Thursday, September 26th at 6:30 PM at Game Over Escape Rooms.

We are excited to share that our unit has the opportunity to raise funds by working a parking lot during Biketoberfest in St. Augustine, October 17–19. This is a wonderful chance to support our program, but it will require lots of parent participation to make it a success.

Volunteers will help direct cars to parking and collect fees.
