Happy Summer! A unit like ours doesn't take much rest. There are several things happening over the summer and we will keep you up-to-date. Here is your checklist for current and incoming new cadets: 

#1 - Required Paperwork for All Cadets
Both incoming NS1s and returning cadets must complete updated paperwork. This year, we’re excited to introduce electronic forms to help streamline communication and reduce delays. Click HERE to fill out your paperwork. Please fill these forms out ASAP and no later than July 15.

#2 - Custody Card
Every cadet must have a custody card filled out. Click HERE to fill out your custody card. Please fill these forms out ASAP and no later than July 15.

#3 - Physicals Required
Every cadet must have a current physical on file. These can be completed through your primary care provider. Please bring the most current version of the physical form with you. Click HERE for a copy!

#4 - Required Shirt
All cadets are required to purchase a unit polo. You can purchase one HERE. The deadline to order is 7/14!

Get Ready to Go!
Over the summer, stay active and maintain physical fitness to get ready for Basic Cadet Training (BCT) for NS1s and Physical Fitness Tests (PFTs) for returning cadets.

We’re excited to announce that several of our cadets will be attending two outstanding leadership opportunities this summer.

Leadership Academy (LA) will take place June 8–14 at Riverside Preparatory Academy in Gainesville, GA. NS3/NS4 cadets who met the eligibility criteria submitted applications to attend this prestigious program. We’re proud to share that ten cadets from our unit will represent Nease at the academy.

Basic Leadership Training (BLT) will be held June 16–20 at Camp Blanding. This camp is open to all cadets and offers in-depth instruction on leadership and discipline within the JROTC program.

In addition to our leadership opportunities, several enrichment camps are available for cadets to attend. Our cadets will have a busy summer with many attending orienteering/air rifle camp, and various summer seminar weeks at the respective service academies. 

We look forward to sharing the accomplishments and experiences from the leadership opportunities and JROTC Camps!

To ensure a smooth and successful transition for incoming cadets, we want to remind everyone about the mandatory Basic Cadet Training (BCT), scheduled for August 4th through August 8th at Nease High School. This essential training will introduce cadets to core NJROTC principles and lay the foundation for a successful year ahead.

Cadre Information
Many current cadets will serve as cadre for BCT. There will be cadre workdays scheduled prior to training week, and all details will be communicated via the REMIND app. Please stay tuned and respond promptly to notifications.

Uniform Requirement
All cadre and cadets working BCT are required to purchase the designated BCT shirt.

Important Dates
On the first day of BCT, parents dropping off NS1 (first year) cadets are invited to stick around for a brief parent meeting and the opportunity to ask questions. NS2, NS3, and NS4 parents are welcome to attend to welcome our new families and assist with questions. On Friday afternoon, we will celebrate our new cadets with a graduation ceremony. Following graduation, we will have a social event for all NJROTC families to attend. More information will be forthcoming.

We are excited to welcome the next generation of cadets and see the future of our unit begin their NJROTC journey this August!

There are many moving parts as we prepare our unit for the upcoming school year. During BCT, all incoming cadets will be issued their uniforms—a process that runs best with some extra hands. We’re looking for parent volunteers to help ensure everything goes smoothly.
