On Target: Air Rifle Team Starts Season Strong Our Air Rifle Team has hit the ground running this season, showing dedication, skill, and impressive results at their opening competitions. The season opener was held on September 6, where our cadets proved they were locked, loaded, and ready to go. The Precision Team claimed 1st place overall, led by top shooter Cadet Jovel. The A Team earned 3rd place with Cadet Peasley taking top shooter honors, and the B Team finished strong, guided by top shooter Cadet Davis. Just two weeks later, on September 20, the team traveled to Waycross, GA, for their second meet of the year. Once again, our cadets delivered excellent performances. The Sporter A Team brought home 2nd place overall, while the Precision Team earned a 4th place finish. Top shooters of the day were Cadets Jovel, Kane, and Hajzus, who each demonstrated impressive marksmanship under pressure. With this momentum, our Air Rifle Team is excited to continue the season. Congratulations to all our cadets on their outstanding performances so far. Your hard work and dedication are setting the tone for an exciting season ahead! |
Back-to-Back Champs: Nease Navy Wins Army vs. Navy Showdown What a game! On September 19, the stands were full of school spirit as Nease Navy NJROTC took on St. Augustine Army JROTC in the highly anticipated 2nd Annual Army vs. Navy Flag Football Game. The matchup did not disappoint. Both teams came ready to play, battling hard until the very end. In a nail-biting finish, our Nease Navy cadets pulled through with a 26–18 victory, securing the $1,000 prize, championship belt, and bragging rights for the second year in a row! After the win, Chris Brown from Geico presented our team with the $1,000 check and championship belt, a highlight moment that capped off the night. Of course, the fun extended beyond the field. Families and fans enjoyed tasty treats from King of Pops and Nothing Bundt Cakes, with a portion of proceeds supporting our program. A huge thank-you goes out to our cadets, fans, sponsors, and community for making this year’s game such a success. With another win under our belt, Nease Navy has proven once again that teamwork, spirit, and determination go a long way on and off the field. |
Nease Cadets Shine at Pentathlon Congratulations to our cadets who competed in the Pentathlon on September 13! Two Nease teams represented our school at Terry Parker High School, and our A Team proudly brought home 2nd place overall. The Pentathlon put cadets to the test with five challenging events: a tire flip, bowline knot tie, brain brawl, air rifle, and even a Humvee push. We are incredibly proud of our cadets for demonstrating strength, teamwork, and determination throughout the competition. Their hard work and dedication truly made Nease shine! |

Nease Hosted Drill Meet – Volunteers Needed! Our Nease Hosted Drill Meet is coming up quickly! Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1. This is one of our biggest events of the year, bringing together several drill teams from area high schools for an exciting day of competition. It’s an all-day event with numerous opportunities to serve, and it’s also a great way for new cadets and parents to see what’s involved in a drill meet. Why Your Help MattersTo make this event a success, we need LOTS of help from both parents and cadets. This is a UNIT WIDE event, not just for our Nease drill team members. It's an awesome opportunity for cadets to get service hours as well! While the event is largely managed by our cadets (who will sign up through the unit), our CPO and parents play a crucial role in scoring, hospitality, and meal support. We need to provide food for our cadets, visiting teams, judges, and even the bus drivers. Your support, through volunteering or donations, is essential to ensure everything runs smoothly. How You Can HelpThere are multiple ways to get involved: Volunteer for a time slot to assist with scoring, concessions, hospitality, or cadet lunch. Donate food items for the event. If you can’t volunteer or shop, consider making a monetary donation, which will be used specifically for feeding the cadets.
Visit our volunteer page to sign up for a time slot, provide a food item, or make a donation. This is a great opportunity to be part of a memorable experience for our cadets and to see the hard work of all participating teams in action. Your time, support, and generosity truly make a difference! |
