Hurricanes Can't Rain on Our Parade

Happy October! Despite the hurricane days, our unit keeps marching on with several events and activities!

Our cadets participated in several events over the past few weeks including Air Rifle at Bishop Kenny, Orienteering at Brunswick, and the Green & Gold Parade!

The Air Rifle team had a wonderful showing over their two-day match. Precision Top Shooter was Cadet Hedrick and the top shooter for B Team was Cadet Davis.

Our Orienteering teams came in 2nd place overall for Nease Green, and 10th place overall for Nease Gold with several cadets individually placing in their groups. Individual awards went to:

- Cadet Spore, 1st place varsity green course male
- Cadet Newman, E., 5th place varsity brown course female
Junior Varsity
- Cadet Gourd, 1st place JV orange course male
- Cadet Pitches, 4th place JV orange course female

White Course Male
- Cadet Spence, 1st place
- Cadet Flowers, 2nd place
White Course Female
- Cadet Castellon, 2nd place
- Cadet Wagner, 3rd place
- Cadet Tokarek, 5th place

Both our Air Rifle and Orienteering Teams are off to a great start!

Hurricane Milton caused a rainy scene at the 2nd Annual Green & Gold Parade, but that didn't stop our cadets from representing! The storm continues to create chaos as the Homecoming game and festivities have been postponed to November 7.

CPO Updates

Thank you for attending our September meeting! We are so grateful for your participation! Take a look at our SEPTEMBER MEETING MINUTES.

If you haven't yet, please visit our Booster Store to become a booster member, and purchase spirit wear, cadet items, and yard signs. All proceeds are to support the efforts of the Nease NJROTC program. We want to raise resources to help defray out-of-pocket expenses for cadet activities and provide support to our instructors and cadets. Your contributions help to supplement the costs of drill meets, competitions, picnics, and other unit-wide events.

Cadet Photos Proof Nights

Cadet photo proof nights have been rescheduled! New opportunities to view and order your cadet's photos are Tuesday, October 15 in the PAC from 4pm-7pm, and Thursday, October 17 in the Media Center from 4pm-7pm. Make plans to join us!

CPO Meeting

Our next monthly CPO meeting will be held Thursday, October 17th at 7:45am in portable 40 at Nease. You must register by noon the day before the meeting to attend and you must be cleared by SJCSD to be on campus. Register HERE to be included in the meeting. To join virtually, visit us HERE.

Mandarin Drill Meet

Our first drill meet is October 26 hosted at Mandarin High School. It takes lots of volunteers to support our team! You can assist through twice-overs, doing girls' hair, or providing snacks and drinks. Any help would be much appreciated! Take a look at our sign-ups and pitch in where you can! As always, thank you for your support!

Cadet Breakfast

Get ready to feed our cadets! We are excited to hold our cadet breakfast on October 29th from 7:30am to 9:20am. We have a lot of mouths to feed and that is where YOU come in! We need food donations and parent volunteers. Sign up HERE!

Nease Hosted Drill Meet

Our hosted drill meet is coming up quickly! Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 2. This is a big event where we host several drill teams for competition. We will need LOTS of parent and cadet help to make this event a success. Be on the lookout for communication and sign-ups. Once the volunteer numbers needed are finalized, you will find the sign-up on our volunteer page.

Night of Lights

We are excited to have secured space for our 2nd annual Night of Lights fundraiser! We are looking for parent help! Did you volunteer last year and would like to help again? T-Shirts for Sale

T-Shirts commemorating our big win over St. Augustine in the first annual Army vs. Navy flag football game are still available! Shirts are only $20 each and funds raised benefit our unit!
